How come all the defensive records are still held by people of that era? Not now? Who was also a better defensive player? Kobe or jordan? which ironically is still better then any defense then MJ would have faced. Its not just kobe that is better then MJ, ALOT of players are better then MJ. Its just that MJ was good while most of the other players in his age frankly would not even make a team in the current age.

for those saying MJ is better, they forget the fact that modern NBA players are all of a higher caliber then they were back then. Current players are bigger, faster, and stronger all across the board. Further, look at the players MJ played against, hardly what i would call anything resembling good defense. nowadays, even against man defense, teams will assign a defensive specialist to guard kobe.
