yea i knew they were bigger in europe than the US but i was just wondering if they were bigger in Holland in particular, you sound like you know your stuff :)

During their first go around, the Pixies found much more success in Europe than in the USA. Outside of some major American cities, no one hear of them. Kim and Kelley received quite a bit of recognition for Last Splash, but most Breeder's fans at the time never heard of the Pixies. The Pixies only received recognition in America after they were praised by Kurt Cobain, David Bowie and Bono, and the Pixies tune, Where is My Mind, was used on the movie, Fight Club.
