The SYSTEM is broken. The ONLY reason we do not see this is because we choose not to. We think that because some brave people are STILL challenging existing policies - speaking truth to power - we don't have to. We wait for other people to take responsibility for us...and they have. The form of a corporation DEMANDS that the pursuit of money is placed ABOVE all other competing interests. Life in a Capitalist society is all about the bottom line - Milton Friedman, the economist, wanted ALL decisions to be driven by capital and the free market. YOU need to therefore frame your concerns, your life and your value in terms of MAKING OTHER PEOPLE money and how to do it in the most efficient way possible.

Making money is the ONLY legal responsibility of a corporation - EVERY decision can be tied back to how it afffects the shareholder - no matter how small. This is GOOD in MOST cases and very BAD in one particular one. Capitalism is the ONLY system that supports free choice - however to make free choices all the relevant information must be made available. This is NOT happening and we are in crisis because of it.

As you can clearly see, corporations are structurally designed in a way that is UNFIT to inform you. They have a conflict of interest. Profit ALWAYS wins - YOU LOSE. With the stakes as high as they are today, with everything going on - WE CAN NO LONGER AFFORD THEM in this role. The time has come to structurally FIX this broken system. To structurally protect the role of the Advocate from ALL people who seek to suppress and distort information itself - for whatever reason. Imagine this:

The Advocacy Corporation or Anti-Corporation -a NEW type of partially federally subsidized, corporation whose ONLY legal responsibility is to ensure an informed citizenry -giving YOU a TAX DEDUCTION for contributing to it AND allowing you to INVEST in the things YOU believe in or advocate. An AC, in support of other advocates, gets FREE TELEVISION TIME for positions advocated as a "public service announcement" -AND places the responsibility of "informing" the people in the hands of the people.
