I don't care what the Rolling Stone says either-- they've dissed Richard Hell and praised madonna-- but you asked who they influenced. I'm just giving you a bit of a picture of their recognition. Imo their best song is London Calling, but many other gems include The Gates Of The West, The Guns Of Brixton, Rudie Can't Fail and White Riot. So yeah. Awesome! :)

this song has meaning the sherie or however its spelled was some sultan of a middle eastern country and this song was an up yours to outlawing rock and roll there but i still have no idea what the amardillo has to do with it

Also why does it matter if they sold out an arena??? This seems like a necessity for you; unfortunately plenty of garbage musicians sell out arenas, so I don't understand how that automatically makes the Clash a good band in your opinion.

Uh, wow. Besides being one of the most musically prolific bands ever, their songs actually had meaning. Do you know what this song is about? It's about the ban of rock music in the middle east and the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Pretty heady things, more so than Michael Jackson or Shania Twain--this is who you like, yes?--ever produced. Also, apostrophe s does not represent plural, but rather possessive.
