Could not have said it better myself. The most compelling game on the 90's First True 360 degree space strategy. The controls Perfect the game experience its self mind numbingly fantastic. The game of the year on its release. God bless Relic when they created HomeWorld. November 15, 1999. RTS game of the year.

This is the second best game ever made. The first was Packman. This game bring to us the modern RTS gameplay, the 3D play. The storyline it´s incredible, the sound efects are amazing, the music, the grafics..Everything was made to impress. This was the 1s game made by Relic studios the same that created Company of Heroes. God bless Relic when create HOMEWORLD

hm i remember that you could choose booth factions (kushan , taiidan) as the higaran . i played the campaign with the taiidan , i think thats a bit more realistik cause the fighter and ships of the taiidan looks more "low technology" like . and in the book/manual there is a fighter of the kushan that looks like the scout at 0:13 and that is a taiidan scout !

Yeah that mushroom ship is the garden of Kadesh. The Kadeshi mission at first was hard. But if you go about it smart you can get some basic defenses up fast. You can let your mothership take a good pounding earlier in the mission while keeping your fighters docked. Repair the mothership when you can, it's easy to outpace the damage. Then get multigun corvettes and keep them docked for a bit before releasing hell on those swarmers, they'll go down fast.
