No, they didn't look happy at first; this was a painful session, no doubt. But with no pain... And mark well the relief reflected in their faces as it finally works. And the music that they make. That's what really counts. The Chuck had never had a better band, Richards hadn't had to confront himself so closely with his tutor before. Of course it hurts, to all parties involved. But what music they made! Mr Berry is an old man now. When this film was recorded he was still young - just listen.

There's also the fact that Chuck is a task master and a bit of an ego maniac (don't get me wrong I worship him) and Keith is usually too drunk to walk, much less play (again I love him but, facts are facts)

Keith had and has great respect for Chuck. Was his idol in many ways when he was coming up. He was so awestruck he fucked up alot here just because he was intimidated. Fun to watch that. Good post thank you!
