Rails is getting big, i mean BIG. Simple, functional and it does the job in an exellent way. And for sure, this language has future, in my opinion it has already won Python.

Wow, this guy's head is really getting big. His answer about why some people think Rails can't scale came across as really arrogant. Can somebody say Prima Donna?

There ZorkFox, I used the magic of YouTube Video Annotations to add a "fix" to the video. YouTube Video Annotations would be more powerful if I could add a link out to another web site - this way I could like to Charles Oliver Nutter's blog when he mentions him in this interview.

I don't know, they aren't necessary any smarter than other "technologists" using other programming frameworks, but they certainly have a good, revolutionary message. I don't even think Rails is a better technology than anything else as much as I just think that it emphasized the right things at the right time. If I had more time I would've asked him questions about Django, and I anticipate he wouldn't have had anything negative to say about the framework.

Sweet. Folding space is a function I've wanted in Rails for a long time now. :) The only reason I noticed is because I happened to have looked at my calendar just before I started the video. Here's a question I'd like answered: Rails is TOUGH to deploy (in my opinion as a n00b). I mean, there's a whole book available on how to do it. What are the plans to make deployment more user-friendly and when will they be implemented?

Possible Question: Are you satisfied with the current Ruby on Rails wiki? Does the Rails team have plans for improving it?

Seriously, I wanted to hear more as well, but the Chicago Park dude came over and shut us down. We'll finish the interview in the next month or so. I was going to ask him questions about Django, people using Rails for genetics, and other things.
